586 - Triangle Rock

My hands are physically resisting the urge to draft this story.

Why, might you ask? Because I have no idea what to say about this image:

“House of Cards”

Taken with Sony a7rIV + Sony 24-105mm f/4 G

[ISO 500 ~ 26mm ~ f/9 ~ 1/320s]

(Want a Print? Get one here.)

It’s a rock shaped like a triangle.

But is it? Is it really?

The triangular shape has endless years of cultural symbolism to back it up. Millions, if not billions of different interpretations, metaphors, and meanings. All ripe breeding grounds for the perfect adventure photography story.

But does any of that matter? Can I not pull over and take a photo of something for the sake of pure beauty alone? Does everything have to be so infatuated with meaning?

No. It doesn’t.

I’m on a mission is to explore as much as humanely possible.
